E-skills for Russian SMEs

Aim of research:

The project is aimed at fostering of competitiveness of SMEs in the North-West of Russia and improvement of their work by optimization of ICT usage and increasing the potential of local consultants in this sphere. 
    
Methods and substance of research:

Leontief Centre is one of the main project partners, and is responsible for carrying out the research part and dissemination of its results, including creation and support of the project web site. (http://www.e-skills.spb.ru).
In the framework of the project the inspection and evaluation of business processes of pilot local SMEs were held. The recommendations for these processes perfection were produced, training for local staff took place and training programmes on the base of concrete situations were set up
   
Results of research:

September 2005 in the framework of the project in St Petersburg the conference «How to become an E-company?» was held, on which the main results and further perspectives of first project stage were discussed. E.Belova, Leontief Centre Development Department head and T.Khabarina, Leontief Centre consultant made presentations at the conference.
