Aim of research:
Development of partnership and promotion of opportunities for cooperation between regional authorities of North-West of Russia and countries of the BSR.
Methods and substance of research:
The project was initiated for creation of infrastructure and institutional capacity for cooperation between countries of the BSR and the regions of North-West of Russia, and for support of RNSC actions. In 2003 2 applications were prepared within the project for BSR INTERREG III B Seed Money and Tacis programme financing. One of the applications for BSR INTERREG III B Seed Money was approved and project “East-West Forum: Sustainable Development in the Baltic Sea Region” got co-financing from ERDF funding. Financing from BSR INTERREG III B Seed Money Programme is provided for establishing of international partnerships, development and preparation of applications for calls of proposals of BSR INTERREG III B Programme.
Experts of ICSER Leontief Centre were attracted to the Project works.
Results of research:
In the framework of Seed Money project realization “East-West Forum: Sustainable Development in the Baltic Sea Region” September 2003 in Gdansk (Poland) the meeting of partners took place, where the content and membership of partners for the main project were discussed and the decision about presentation of two applications to the following call of proposals for BSR INTERREG III B Programme and Tacis CBC was taken (see detail at the RNSC web site, in the “Projects” section)
