2010-09-22 :: The Monitoring Committee meeting of Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007 – 2013 in Kiel (Germany)

On 15-16 September, 2010 Irina Karelina, Director General of ICSER “Leontief Centre”, RNSC Responsible Secretary, Monitoring Committee member of Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007 – 2013 took place in the Monitoring Committee meeting of Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007 – 2013 in Kiel (Germany). The main attention was devoted to the selection and approval of projects submitted in the Third round of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013.

Results of the Third round of RNSC Programme:


Priority 1 " Fostering of innovations across the BSR"
24 projects were submitted, 5 of which included the Russian association organizations.
6 were approved, 1 of them - with Russian participation.

* URBAN CREATIVE POLES - Development and Promotion of Creative Industry Potentials in Medium-Sized Cities of the Baltic Sea Region,
* BSHR HealthPort - Baltic Sea Health Region - Business acceleration support and training bridging innovative SMEs and health care organisations to strengthen BSR health economy,
* MIN-NOVATION - Mining and Mineral Processing Waste Management Innovation Network,
* StarDust - The Strategic Project on Trans-national Commercial Activities in Research & Innovation, Clusters and in SME-Networks,
* Baltic Fashion - Promoting the innovative Baltic Fashion industry throughout the Baltic Sea Region,
* COOL Bricks - Climate Change, Cultural Heritage & Energy Efficient Monuments (with Russian participation)

Priority 2 " Improving external and internal accessibility of the BSR"
6 projects were submitted, 3 of which included the Russian association organizations.
4 were approved, 2 of them - with Russian participation.
* RBGC (with Russian participation),
* BALTRIS,
* Baltic.AirCargo.Net (with Russian participation),
* NECL II.

Priority 3 " Management of the Baltic Sea as a common resource"
14 projects were submitted, 8 of which included the Russian association organizations.
7 were approved, 5 of them - with Russian participation.

* BALTADAPT,
* SUBMARINER (with Russian participation),
* BalticDEAL (with Russian participation),
* BSR InnoShip (with Russian participation),
* CleanShip (with Russian participation),
* BERAS IMPLEMENTATION (with Russian participation),
* BATMAN - BAltic Forum for Innovative Technologies for Sustainable MANure Management (with Russian participation)

Priority 4 ": Promoting of attractive and competitive cities and regions"
13 projects were submitted, 7 of which included the Russian association organizations.
2 were approved, 1 of them - with Russian participation.
* RB21T - RECO Baltic 21 Tech (with Russian participation),
* Ecovillages - Ecovillages for sustainable rural development

"StarDust" was named as strategic project.
