2009-11-17 :: The Teleconference Organized by the World Bank

On November 17, 2009 at the St. Petersburg State University, Faculty of Geography Leontief Centre’s employees L.E. Limonov and L.I. Savulkin participated in a teleconference organized by the World Bank. The conference was devoted to discussion of Report on Russian Economy №20 of the World Bank.

The conference was attended by experts of the IBRD - authors of the report, Russian scientists and experts, heads and senior officials of the executive authorities of the socio-economic profile of a number of subjects of the Russian Federation (St. Petersburg, Tatarstan Republic, Perm Region, Komi Republic, Rostov Region).

After the keynote of J. Bogetic, Lead Economist at the IBRD in Russia, L.E. Limonov acted as discussant with a brief commentary on the main proposals and conclusions of the report. Then participants had an opportunity to exchange opinions, tell about the features of the socio-economic situation in their regions and ask questions.
